Dengler.net
Congratulations! You have run across a very old corner of the Internet.
Back in the day, this was the vanity website and photo sharing portal for me, Steven Dengler. These types of things are now done commercially by giant companies, which is great because it means I don't have to do them myself.
In 1993, I stared a company with a friend. Today that company is XE, the world's favorite currency site. So that worked out pretty well.
In 2006 I started a private investment company called Dracogen Inc., which has helped a some amazing companies do some amazing things. That's also been working out really well.
In 2017 I organized and flew the C150 Global Odyssey: the first Canadian Circumnavigation of the World by helicopter, in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Canadian confederation. It was an amazing adventure that celebrated Canada's history and raised money for charity.
My sister has a Webcomic called MegaCynics in which I sometimes appear as in a fictionalized form.
Back in the day, this website used to have a bunch of cool content. But it's all old and not maintained anymore so I'm gradually taking it down, cleaning it out, and/or moving it somewhere else.
Here are links to all the stuff that's survived housecleaning so far:
- Intelligent Humor
I maintain the official site of Chris Williams' brilliant and offbeat comic strip from the 80's. It doesn't update anymore.
- HRUMP
The High-Resolution Ultima Map Project from my youth. Still surprisingly popular.
- Device Drivers for the SK-8135 Keyboard
A free little device driver I created for the Dell SK-8135 Spanish keyboard.
I doubt I'll delete any of the above stuff, but I might move it somewhere else. If I do, I'll be sure to 301 it so you and the search engines can find it. I should also mention that everything here is copyright © 1993-2018 Steven Dengler.
Thanks for stopping by.
Steve
